Matthew Fisk

Matthew Fisk graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education with an emphasis in voice. He was actively involved in the ETBU music department as a member of multiple choral groups, performing in numerous recitals and tours. He has also served as a worship leader in his church and had frequent roles in musical theater productions. 

 

Matt is currently in his sixteenth year in education. He began his career as the assistant director of choirs and instructor of music theory and piano at Midlothian High School for eight years and is now in his eighth year as head choral director. 

 

In his free time Matt loves to read, play games, do anything music-related, and hang-out with his family. Matt is originally from Baytown, Texas but currently lives in Midlothian with his wife, Heather, and has three children, Avery, Landon and Harper.

Terri Lucas

A native Texan, Ms. Terri Lucas spent her youth in central Arkansas where she began her musical journey that eventually led her back home to Texas.  Her experiences cover many genres of music including classical, opera, Broadway, choral music, jazz, country, southern rock and blues, southern gospel, and contemporary. She holds degrees in Piano Performance(BM), Voice(BME), Entertainment Business/Artist Management (EBMS), and Vocal Ped(MA).  

 

Ms. Lucas is the full-time choral music assistant and professional accompanist for Midlothian High School and is on staff at First Baptist Church Lancaster. .  She spent many years as a collaborative pianist and vocal coach for Ouachita Baptist University and Dallas Baptist University.  As a musician, she stays busy playing gigs across the DFW metroplex. 

 

Ms. Lucas has played directed and played keys on several shows such as Little Mermaid, Annie, Matilda, Jr., Bye, Bye Birdie, Little Shop of Horrors, The Sound of Music, Music Man, Cinderella, Godspell, The Wiz, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and more. Leadership roles encompass Musical Director, Director, Producer, and Pit Conductor for some of these.

 

Ms. Terri LOVES coffee, baking, her family, reading, and traveling internationally.  Her passion is accompanying, teaching, and coaching students in advanced vocal techniques and artistry.
